Tickets and prices

Medieval Week has the size, extent and quality that enjoys the appreciation of many visitors and participants. We do not want to charge fees for all events in spite of large overhead expenses.


Pre-book or buy tickets on site?
I cooporation with national and local ticket agents we provide pre-booking to the following events:

Jousting Tournament
The Beauty and the Beast - a fairytale in flames
The Cog - trip on a medieval merchant ship

The Banquet
Tickets for The banquet can be purchased in advance during the whole week at Medeltidsveckan’s information booth at the market and on site at Stora Torget from 17.00 hours on Sunday, August 14th.

The prices listed below are only our own arrangements, prices vary depending on who organize the event.

Ticket prices (Medeltidsveckan’s own arrangements)
VAT included. Prices noted in Swedish crowns (kr.).
Tournament, Visby, July => 175 kr / 150 kr* / 80 kr**.
Tournament, Visby, Medieval Week => 195 kr / 160 kr* / 80 kr**.
Tournament in the light of flames, Medieval Week => 220 kr / 180 kr* / 80 kr**.
Tournament: Lojsta, Bunge, Kattlunds, July => 150kr / 120 kr* / 80 kr**.

Lectures
75-100 kr.

Concerts
Adult 100-150 kr
Student* 80 - 120 kr
Child** 40 kr

The Banquet
Adult 110 kr
Student* 80 kr
Child** 20 kr

* Students will be asked to present a valid student ID
** Child 3 - 15 yrs (children 0-2 yrs free)


Tournament
Tickets can be purchased on site 2 hours (July), 3 hours (during Medieval Week) before the performance starts. There is always a certain number of tickets sold on site so if you are early there should not be a problem. If you want to be sure to get a ticket you can pre-book, please see below.

Market
There is no charge to enter the market. However there are certain activities in the area that can charge a fee. Do not forget the musicians and the jesters that play for a donation.
