Toilets and Showers
Toilets, in the form of portable toilets, are available on-site. Showers are available at a nearby school.

Water
Water is available on-site, supplied to a dishwashing station with a simple sink and tap points around the area. Due to the length of the hose and its exposure to sunlight, the quality of drinking water cannot be guaranteed. Drinking water can be refilled at the connection point for water just inside Dalmansporten.

Cooking
There is a container with a couple of hotplates and a kettle for cooking. Freezers are also available for exchanging ice packs. Alcohol stoves are allowed.

Electricity
No electricity can be supplied to individual tents, but it is possible to charge your phone or battery pack in the cooking container.

Historical Feel

All modern items should be hidden to create an authentic experience for everyone in the camp.
Medieval clothing is a requirement, and all equipment used outside your tent should blend in with the historical environment. Inside your tent, you choose—air mattresses and sleeping bags, or straw bedding and sheepskins? Make sure it looks nice for your neighbors!

How historical does it need to be?

  • If you want to cook with an alcohol stove, try to do it discreetly.
  • When you’ve been shopping, hide bags and plastic with a cloak when walking through the camp, or bring a basket to carry things in.
  • Leave nylon tents and party tents at home, or stay at the modern campsite.
  • Second-hand kitchenware is perfectly fine—think wooden spoons, cast iron pots, copper bowls… Avoid plastic and things that look modern.
  • In terms of clothing, it’s “attempted medieval” that applies.
  • Everyone is welcome, and everyone has to start somewhere, but make an honest attempt! Neon-colored sneakers and jeans are not suitable, but a pair of discreet cotton pants and simple leather shoes under your first hand-sewn tunic works just fine.
