You are hereby invited to join in creating this year’s Medeltidsveckan, theme: Love.
2-9 August 2026

Together we build Medeltidsveckan
Who can help create the Middle Ages? All. Or everyone who, like us, cherishes the fantastic community that has been active during week 32 for almost half a century. You may be an artist, craftsman, writer or lecturer. Maybe you run a shop, sell your goods from a market stall or run a pub. Or you represent a theatre, a music group or a stage show. Recreates historical camp life and culture or is a party organizer, cosplayer, streams role-playing games, is a podcaster or storyteller. Maybe you organize another festival or are an exhibition curator at a museum. Medeltidsveckan on Gotland is a co-create festival. Together we make the world’s best medieval times!

How to apply!
If you want to participate during Medeltidsveckan, you make an application in our application portal. An assessment is then made as to whether your program point is suitable and you receive a notification in advance. Your program item is then scheduled, taking into account your wishes and any other program items. We then write an agreement that specifies Medeltidsveckan and your responsibility for the program item. Finally, the program item is published in Medeltidsveckan’s digital program. (On program release or thereafter as soon as the agreement is signed).
As a co-creator, you receive the majority of your ticket revenue. Some goes to our ticket sales system and some goes to the Medeltidsveckan. The part to Medeltidsveckan goes towards creating the conditions for all your wonderful program points. Such as renting venues, sound, lights and much , much more.
As a co-creator of our festival, you have the opportunity to stay free of charge at our campsite or in our medieval camp. You also get a co-creator band (a special form of Medeltidsband) to everyone who participates in your program item.
This is how you do it!
You create a profile on Medeltidsveckans co-creator portal or log in with the profile you created most recently. Fill out the form and upload an image for your event. Submit and wait for the response from the Medeltidsveckans office.
